The Ultimate Guide to Cleaning Products: What Works, What Doesn’t, and What You Need (Part 1)


Everyone wants a clean home without dirt and moulds, now the question is how do I make my home clean? not just clean but very clean. In my blog post yesterday I wrote about how to clean your kitchen.

Today is going to be about cleaning products.There are many cleaning products in the market and when one is unable to distinguish which cleaning product should be used for what purpose, then they all seem to be the same. We have Traditional all-purpose cleaners, and eco-friendly innovations, as we have noted choosing the right cleaning product may greatly impact your cleaning chores. So let me guide you through tips and types of cleaning products to ensure that you are using the right product for the right job. 


One must have a basic understanding of cleaning solutions before he or she picks any cleaning product off the shelf. So with this insight, I would be giving you, the next time you go to the store and you have in mind to pick a cleaning product, you would be in a position to know that you are selecting the correct one.


The first would be the general cleaners that are useful for various surfaces and degrees of dirt. It is good for normal cleanup work but sometimes it is not very effective in cleaning some special needs as one would desire.


Let's talk about disinfectants.

Disinfectants as the name suggests,disinfects by eradicating bacteria, viruses and other forms of pathogens. These are often chemically formulated to be different from the normal all-purpose cleaning agents and are therefore usually strong. So ONLY use as directed. They are the best for areas prone to germs like the kitchen and bathrooms.


Then there are the degreasers which are the best for removing the grease and the stubborn stains, mainly ones in the kitchen because that is where most grease is usually found. They are quick and effectively clean the kitchen area.


Glass cleaners and speciality cleaners are also in the mix of these and the glass cleaners are formulated to leave glass and mirrors streak-free. They contain solvents that dissolve and remove smudges instantly! Speciality cleaners are designed for specific materials or surfaces. There is the wood polish, stone cleaner and also carpet shampoo.
